Perched along the iconic Paseo de Gracia, the Monument Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel offering an elegant setting with an emphasis on gastronomy. Set within a pre-modernist building with a distinct heritage amidst its walls, the hotel is opposite La Pedrera Building, a few meters from Casa Batlló, and close to the Barcelona’s major attractions.
Featuring modern styling, the Monument Hotel’s 84 guest rooms and suites offer brickwork details on the walls, natural oak wood flooring, and sleek wood furniture. Decorated in shades of brown with accents of lumière noir hues, guest rooms have access to a small balcony overlooking a courtyard or Mallorca Street. The rooms have beds with Egyptian cotton bedding, Ferdown feather duvets, Coco-Mat pillow menus, and Loewe TVs. There are large desks with power connections, independent air conditioning systems, and laptop-size safes. While bathrooms have Jo Malone bath products, Raindance showers, velour bathrobes, and underfloor heating.
The restaurant’s dining options are managed by Martín Berasategui, the Spanish chef holding 8 Michelin stars. Lasarte Restaurant was awarded 3 Michelin Stars in 2017, and recently underwent a major renovation, giving the space a more modern and spacious feel. Oria Restaurant is a Bistro-style restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine infused with Basque influences. While Hall0 Cocktail Bar by Javier de las Muelas has a cosmopolitan, signature setting for Champagne and crafted cocktails.
Valmont for Monument Hotel has a massage room for exclusive treatments, as well as a sauna and hammam. There’s also a 24-hour fitness center, and the hotel offers a “7 Sins” menu providing guests with dining and treatment packages based on the seven deadly sins.
