In Vence, the Château Saint-Martin & Spa was built on the ruins of a 12th century Templar fortress. This 14 hectare property offers guests spectacular views of both the blue Mediterranean and the imposing Southern Alps. The building, perfectly integrated into its environment, was restored by the renowned contemporary architect, Luc Svetchine and decorated by the owner, Maja Oetker, in the spirit of a chateau with Louis XV and Louis XVI style furniture, Aubusson and Gobelins tapestries, 18th century clocks and Persian and Turkish rugs. Each room in the chateau represents a journey through time. The chateau’s 52 rooms and suites possess a warm and cozy atmosphere and a balcony or terrace with an uninterrupted view of the Mediterranean. In the park, six villas offer guests total privacy. The Château Saint-Martin also proposes a spa, a magnificent infinity swimming pool and 3 restaurants directed by the talented chef, Jean-Luc Lefrançois. Guests find themselves in a romantic, charming and discreet haven of peace surrounded by captivating nature with a perfect blend of the ancestral and the modern.
Excellence is the key word once again in the hotel’s two restaurants directed by the talented chef, Jean-Luc Lefrançois. In summer, guests can have lunch at the Oliveraie, in the shadow of the park’s centuries old olive trees and in the midst of the delicious aroma of the roses. In the evening, dinner is served in the comfortable Saint-Martin where Jean-Luc Lefrançois readapts the great classics of French cuisine.
