The Oberoi Group’s hotel in Jaipur, India, broke fresh ground when it opened in 1997, setting new standards for luxury-leisure hotels. The Rajvilas provides a magnificent setting, in which discerning travellers can enjoy 30 acres of orchards, gardens, decorative pools and fountains. The hotel is built with meticulous detail, recreating a traditional Rajasthani Fort setting. A key feature of the landscape is a large lotus-filled pool in which floats an old temple on a centre island. Getting there
The hotel is approximately 13 miles from Jaipur Airport and 260 miles from the international airport in New Delhi. Jaipur is connected with New Delhi, Mumbai and Calcutta by daily flights by Indian Airlines and Jet Airways. Flying time from New Delhi is 25 minutes, from Mumbai 1 hour 35 minutes, and from Calcutta 2 hours. Oberoi provides their guests with complimentary transfers in town cars to and from Jaipur airport and railway station.
