A heart-shaped island you’re sure to fall in love with….
For an amazing Australian experience with a distinctly south-east Asian flavour, Richard Branson’s antipodean retreat is sure to put a smile upon your face. Exclusive and enchanting, Makepeace Island is certain to cast a spell on all those who set foot upon it.
For exclusive island rental for up to four guests, prices begin at £3,000 per night, including airport transfers and limitless river transfers; breakfast, lunch and evening meal; non-alcoholic beverages and so much more. Additional guests are charged £385 per night.
Located just 10 minutes upstream from the picturesque Noosa Head (Queensland), magical Makepeace Island offers all of the exclusivity one would expect of a premiere private island, whilst providing easy access to the best of Australia’s Sunshine Coast.
Capable of housing up to 20 guests across a beautiful four-bedroom main house, three luxurious villas and a sumptuously self-contained Boat House, this 25 acre heart-shaped island features all the exclusivity one would expect from a Branson-backed island escape.
Adorned with unique antiques lovingly sourced from South East Asia, there’s more than a touch of Bali about this grand Golden Coast retreat. Boasting stunning open-plan entertainment areas, exquisite gardens and bathtubs made from carved volcanic boulders, Makepeace makes for an unforgettable Australian island escape.
Enjoy a mouth-watering combination of goodies; all lovingly prepared by executive chef and GM, Nick Jones. With years of experience in the island business, Nick’s culinary creations are certain to become a highlight of your island holiday. Tailored to your taste buds, the menu is designed specifically for you and your guests, guaranteeing food to fall in love with.
The activities offered on the island are enough to keep even the most adventurous guest entertained with a full size tennis court, lagoon swimming pool, Hobie cats, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and equipment for wake-boarding, water skiing and river fishing. For a slightly slower pace guests can relax in the 15-person hot tub, enjoy a therapeutic or remedial massage, sip cocktails in the island bar or watch a DVD in the indoor theatre or outdoor moonlight cinema. Alternatively, why not take a stroll on our island walking track taking in the wildlife including our resident kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and kookaburras.
Travelling further afield, beachside picnics are another popular option, as well as trips to the Great Barrier Reef and the Golden Coast.
Best Time To Travel
Makepeace Island boasts a tropical climate with temperatures of around 27° C all year round. The “winter” months (June – September) are particularly popular, presenting guests with equally warm temperatures with less of the humidity.
