This historic house has been lovingly renovated by its owners and offers the privacy of a holiday home with luxuries like daily housekeeping, a chef service and assistance in booking activities to make the most of your stay.

Assynt House also hosts a small number of weddings each year and it’s a stunning venue with real character.

Assynt House dates back to the 1700’s, retaining many original features and providing many luxuries. The house has seven bedrooms (four of which can be made up as twins) every bedroom is spacious and has it’s own en-suite. The owners can supply cots and low beds for young children, if required.

The house has a large kitchen with everything you would need to cook for large numbers, a lovely big dining table in the wood-lined drawing room with log fires and big sofas to relax in. There is WIFI throughout, i-pod docking stations in the bedrooms and drawing room and a TV lounge complete with leather sofas, board games and under floor heating.

Housekeeping is complimentary for a few hours daily and catering is also available, leaving you to enjoy your holiday together. Assynt House is the perfect luxury base to explore the Highlands, with incredible golf courses, fishing, hunting, outdoor activities in the surrounding areas as well as outstanding natural beauty.

Beautifully decorated in a classic style complimented by both modern and antique furnishings guests can choose between self-catering with the luxury of a daily housekeeper or let the owner/chef take care of some or all of the catering using the finest local produce. You can also hire Assynt House for special occasions or small weddings.

Nestled in the peaceful Ross-shire countryside, Assynt House is superbly located only a 45 minute drive from Inverness Airport in the Scottish Highlands.

The house sits in 6 acres of garden and woodland with beautiful views of the garden, the Black Isle and the Cromarty Firth. There are a great many activities and things to do in the area, lots of great walks, castles and historic sites to visit, fishing and golf is excellent in the area as well as boat trips to spot dolphins and other wildlife. There are quaint villages to visit and lovely independent shops to visit. The house is a great base to explore all that the Highlands has to offer.
